Those of us that were fans of Weekly World News miss the infamous Bat Boy that was created by the editor and publisher Eddie Clontz. Here is a link to Clontz's hilarious obit in the Economist. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=98045385
Eddie may be gone, but apparently Bat Boy lives. He is negotiating deals on "cap and trade" to exempt certain refineries and coal fired electrical generation plants. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/To-get-votes-Waxman-offers-cap-and-trade-breaks_04_24-43592342.html You'll have to agree that Bat Boy is eerily similar to Henry Waxman. These exemptions represent very large sums of money so undoubtedly some votes will be purchased to secure passage. Thank goodness this exercise is just "good politics." Or maybe it is an old fashioned form of soft corruption...paid for by the taxpayer of course. Support the Hedge Tax.
